"It's not just about the people of Wisconsin - it's about America" -- Tea Party Moonbat

THAT'S America? To have a group of out-of-state ideologues ignore state process and stick their nose in the business of others? Whatever happened to state's rights and the will of the people to prevail? According to the Tea Party, the people's constitutional right to recall public officials sidetracks democracy.

Another way to view this is to put yourself in Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh or Bill O'Reilly's shoes and think what they would say to an outside national union representative sticking their nose in the people's business of another state. They would've painted it up like Pearl Harbor. Wisconsin Democratic Party Spokesman Graeme Zielinki was rightfully fired up during this interview.

Occupy Janesville Rocked In Solidarity

About 40 local residents occupied two street corners at Court and Main in downtown Janesville on a breezy and beautiful Saturday afternoon to stand in solidarity with the 99 Percent/Occupy Wall Street global protests. While drivers in passing cars honked their horns to show their support, the peaceful demonstration carried on in polite conversation rocking to the tunes of solo singer/guitarist Bill Breitsprecher.

The restoration of the American Dream, jobs not cuts, taxing Wall Street and stopping Paul Ryan were the primary themes on the signs carried by the the rally participants. After about two hours, the group slowly began to disperse. There was no sign of pro-Wall Street counter protesters at this event.

Is The Tea Party Crumbling From Occupation?

Just an observation. After completing my regular cruising around through various blogs and newspaper comment sections, I'd swear that the few posters that I identify by from their past comments as genuine Tea Party have hinted that they want to join with and march with the Wall Street protesters. I strongly believe the reasons they gave are legitimate and sincere. These are real Tea Party grassroots bottom-rung people who obviously can relate to the economic injustice message of the Occupy movement. Regular folks. Normally I would love to post their comments here but fear they would be attacked and brutalized by web-stalking Tea Party bull whips.

This article from politico also seems to reflect a heightened sense of desperation from Tea Party leadership (they have leaders?) to discredit and de-legitimize the anti-Wall Street protesters in the hearts and minds of those very same mass subscribers. They must know things are going wobbly.

The best thing about the movement so far is that it has not been co-opted like the Tea Party has, that it's fully organic and all inclusive. I think we should cautiously welcome real tea party grassroots folks but reject all overtures from any so-called Tea Party leadership or their interloping allies. In my view, we are not here to fight over the size of government as much as we are here to fight for the restoration of good government. That's one simple test for separating out some of the astro-turfing Tea Party riff raff from the genuinely sincere.

A sprawling sports complex planned in the village of Lakewood - Illinois, would feature baseball fields, bicycle trails and restaurants meant to draw families from throughout the region. In return for kicking in $500,000 apiece, foreign investors in the project would jump to the head of the nation's often-tangled line for legal immigration and win a route toward U.S. citizenship for themselves and their families.

Janesville Jaycees And Friends Spectacular

If I was in charge of a large fireworks display, I would want a 10-minute rain about a half-hour before it began, followed by a part cloud-cover with gentle, gentle breezes. That's exactly what happened during the run-up of the Janesville Jaycees Fourth of July fireworks display at Traxler Park. Although the rain appeared somewhat ominous at first, it stopped like somebody just turned off a garden spigot -right on cue.
We were blessed.
The fireworks display lasted approximately 52 minutes and the grand finale was.....was.....was......AWESOME!!!!!

It made me want to take a step back and think. It made me proud of the people who had the fortitude to put this event together, AND it made me proud to be an American. A warm and welcome feeling of déjà vu.

There were a lot of things to do at this two-day celebration. I cannot do the event justice with mere words or a couple of pictures. You had to be there. It had EVERYTHING.

Swift Boat Candidate On Esquire

The frontcover of the January 2007 issue of Esquire magazine depicts a legless young man with a prosthetic arm proudly holding his Purple Heart. The heart wrenching picture is worth a thousand words, and any thoughts of comfort, thanks or honor may seem trivial to the loss this soldier endured.

The only thing I can offer the young man is this advice: Do not grow angry towards the president or the country. If you feel you have made a difference, keep that faith. Because if you don’t, and you roll up to the White House fence and throw that Purple Heart (or a facsimile of it) over in disgust and then run for Congress or President 20 years from now, the Swift Boat Veterans will remember. They will say that you volunteered for military service to get into Iraq. They will say you deliberately drove over an IED just to get the medal and cut your time short. They will say the Esquire photo was a publicity stunt for your future campaign run. They will repeat your “easy way out” conscience, brave soldier. Who knows, they may also imply everyone got a medal even if it was only a scratch…… God bless you, Esquire soldier.
