Will Wisconsin Be The Tea Party's Waterloo?

"Don't celebrate quite yet, but Republican support for Gov. Scott Walker's budget bill is fraying," writes Salon.

Salon Excerpt:
Just how nervous is Scott Walker feeling in Wisconsin? The Washington Post's Greg Sargent alerts us to a Wall Street Journal article and a local news item in Wisconsin suggesting that two more Republican state senators may be on the verge of rejecting Walker's budget repair bill. Republicans have 19-14 majority in the state Senate, and with one senator already on record in opposition, two more nay votes will kill the bill.

Walker Sets Up Zombie Web Site

Sure, both sides usually engage in this sort of internet chicanery, but they are typically set up by outside third party support bases, not members of an elected official's cabinet. "Friends Of Scott Walker, John Hiller, Treasurer" set up a zombie GOP Web Page masquerading as a WisDems Web Page. Watch out for these crooks, they'll take your personal information and your money.

The official WisDems site is a dot org.

Media Sue Walker For Release Of Emails

Madison.com Excerpt:
"The governor said he had gotten more than 8,000 e-mails as of Feb. 17, with ‘the majority' urging him to ‘stay firm' on his budget repair bill," Isthmus News Editor Bill Lueders said. "We're just trying to see these largely supportive responses."

The lawsuit alleges that the governor's office violated the Wisconsin Open Records law by withholding the messages and delaying access to them. It seeks release of the e-mails and attorneys' fees for filing the lawsuit.
