Era Of Post-Partisanship Is Over

Chicago Tribune Excerpt:
Obama had worked hard for bipartisan support for the $819 billion stimulus package, beginning to negotiate possible compromises with Republicans even before entering the White House, but the measure passed the House on a strict party-line vote, 244-188. Not a single Republican supported the bill, and only 11 out of 255 Democrats opposed it.
House Republicans are apparently taking their cue from their pill poppin' hero and celebrated America hater, Rush Limbaugh. They too must also want the president and the country to fail. Why else would none of them vote for the Economic Re-investment and Recovery plan? Or there just wasn’t enough pork and kickbacks in the plan for their Wall Street donors. It's either one or the other.
