Ryan-Green: cheaper gas = locomotive breath

JG excerpt:
Paul Ryan – the Janesville Republican who drove Green around Thursday – are trying to lower gasoline prices by eliminating federal rules……… that require different locales to meet federal clean air standards.
– if they have their way, the record gouging profits of Big Oil won’t be the only thing you'll choke on. Green and Ryan figure they can fumble around and deregulate clean air laws to save us a few pennies and create a health hazard issue while they are at it, not by accident….but on purpose.

The stet of Wisconsin is gouging the consumer with it's minimum mark-up law. Where's the outrage there?

How much did the state haul in on that. Send me some figures.

The minimum mark-up law requires gasoline wholesalers to mark-up their product 3%. It requires retailers to mark-up their product 6% that's 9%. That's quite a haul.

But how much does the state make? You said the state is gouging. Besides, why would you complain about the little guys when the big guys are raping your pocketbook?

Just for kicks here, if the government removed the minimum markup and all the taxes, the oil companies would bring the gas price right back in a short period of time because they don't want the demand to go up because of low prices.
They are using the pricing structure to control supply. You are barking up the wrong tree.
