Can't Find Janesville's "State Of The City" Video?

This might not be an issue for many in Janesville, but the recording of this year's much publicized city manager's "State of the City" speech, as of this posting, is not available at the city hall website or anywhere on the Web. So if you didn't watch it live on cable, you missed it.

I bring this up now because according to my notes, the city did not release last year's SOTC either until months later despite the fact the city claims the video will be released soon after the event.

JVL City Hall Excerpt:
The event recording will also be available on the City’s website under “Public Information Videos” shortly after the event.

Except, it's not.

So, I don't know what their reason is for blocking viewers, but it sure looks like the administration wants public awareness of the speech to dissipate before posting it, OR have an agreement with the Janesville Gazette to keep the SOTC story behind the newspaper's paywall to monopolize the event. Either way, it's not open or transparent government, but sneaky and deceptive.
