Fitz-Flopping For Votes

In a calculated reversal, Republicans in the Wisconsin State Senate voted to capture an estimated $88 million in federal money to extend jobless benefits to tens of thousands of out-of-work state residents and joined Democrats in voting to drop a one-week waiting period to get jobless benefits that they adopted in Scott Walker's class war budget repair bill.

Facing the certain loss of their legislative seats, Alberta Darling, Luther Olsen, Sheila Harsdorf and Joe Leibham all Fitz-flopped away from their earlier position to punish needy Wisconsin families by delaying unemployment benefits for one week.

JS online Excerpt:
The flip-flop came as recall elections loomed for six Republican and three Democratic senators, including one election held Tuesday.

ADDITIONAL:
Sen. Hansen (D) Keeps Seat.
