JG Excerpt:This more than anything demonstrates how deeply Janesville has been sold out to special interest groups when school board members suggest interested residents for the Janesville School Board should attend campaign orientation orchestrated by Forward Janesville, a politically active private organization whose philosophical template mirrors that of the Republican Party. On one hand the public school board claims to encourage regular everyday people to run for the board, on the other they recommend this.
-- Attend Forward Janesville's Campaign Management Institute……………………. Tuition is $50 for ....... members or $75 for non-members. For more information or to register, call …………..
Hey school board members, aside from the political aspects of your brazen endorsement, my first question among many is.......what's your cut on the tuition fees? I wouldn't settle for anything less than 15%.

Its one big club.
I attended, they flat out asked my political affiliation.
It's incredible that non-club candidates were able to do so well in Janesville and Rock County over the years considering they not only got shut out by the media, some candidates were often negatively targeted for their openness and transparency. If you're not a partisan insider, you will likely be black-balled as a partisan outsider.
you got that right. if that was the UAW or WEAC with a campaign clinic for local offices, the paper would blister and condemn their efforts as a power-grabbing partisan exercise to hi-jack the city council or school board.
instead its one of their own, so thats ok.
Sean, I like that alot. Welcome to the outsiders "club."
