Leftists Exposed As Defenders of America

Today, the Janesville Messenger editorialized their views about the controversy surrounding the Wisconsin businessman who refused to allow their products to be used in the Iraqi war efforts. Even though the newspaper said no one is suggesting that the businessman (Khetani) doesn't have the right to condemn the U.S. military, they are suggesting no one should have the right to come to Khetani's defense, and if they do, they should be labeled as evil anti-Americans.

Certainly, I think the comments were inappropriate, but in reality, the employee’s comments were exactly what I would expect from a Muslim right-winger practicing free enterprise. American corporatists and righties are not used to people who stand up for their principles when there is money to be made. The Messenger quotes the employee Faisal Khetani's now infamous e-mail reply “even if we did, we would never ship to Iraq. If you were sensible, you and your troops would pull out of Iraq.” But then, in the Christian-like way only the Messenger operates, they finish this quote with toxic words of their own.
Messenger excerpt:
So there – and sweet dreams in the sand, baby killer.
I don’t know about you, but the Messengers words are far more inflaming and negative than what Khetani implied. Somehow through all of this the Messenger editor(s) think they exposed something evil and wrong with the left.
Messenger excerpt:
Our View *
Left revealed – again – in controversy involving Wisconsin online company.
It becomes clear that one of the things the right will never understand about the left is that the lefts willingness to defend the rights of even the most intolerant, hateful and bigoted right-wingers is not our weakness, but our strength.

This attempt by the Messenger to blast defenders of the most basic human rights and stretch it into something it is not, is not only dumb and transparent, it is a testament to their shortcomings and at the core of the rejection they experienced in the mid-term elections. Good job, Janesville Messenger, we couldn't have done it without you.

You have to remember this was a soldier in Iraq that was looking to get a mattress to sleep on. This was a soldier who is defending this man's freedom. This is a soldier who was just looking to make life a little better in a time of war. The owner of the store slapped this soldier in the face. This soldier doesn't make the decissions on when his time will be done. He is doing his job as a soldier. He follows his orders he doesn't make the policies. The owner simply had to say "no they don't ship to military bases" instead he decided to voice his opposition to the war on a soldier that is in the middle of combat and bash him for doing his job. It's a typical leftie motive. Yet they say they support the troops then it's stuff like this they pull. The guy could have really supported the troops and told the soldier a store in which he could have gone to get a mattress. But, no that would be to easy instead let's insult the soldier. That's supporting the troops in the eyes of the lefties. They can say what they want that they support the troops but, actions speak louder than words.

Khetani's comments were not made under the direction from lefties. Khetani is not a lefty. Lefties did not put Khetani up to this. Khetani, whether you agree with him or not spoke "his" truth. Lefties don't support Khetani, only his rights as an American. Perhaps Americans need a primer course on what our soldiers are really fighting for, before they become offended by freely spoken words of criticism or opposition. The Messenger and many others have a problem with that - too bad.

Khetani's business is no longer in business. It seems there are a lot of people who don't like what he said.

That's a shame, but that is the power of hate.

We know a lot of people didn't like what Khetani said. But it can't be the same 65% of the population who now believe that the President should be sensible and pull the troops out of Iraq. The majority of americans are anti-americans. Is that possible?

Not all the 65% that you posted want to pull the troops out. 65% of people polled don't approve of the way the war in Iraq is going. Big difference. A poll of lets say 1,000 people. Does that really mean that 65% of all Americans? I doubt it.

Well said MAXX. This man could have easily told the soldier where he could find a place that delivers to the military bases. Yeah they support the troops. Louis don't be fooled the man is a leftie and he has been embraced by the lefties and the way he handeled the situation. Lefties are anti-american fools.

You will have to do better than that to prove Khetani is a lefty or a liberal. There's a whole out there that think just because someone is against the war they are liberal or hate the troops. Khetani is a Muslim of Pakistani descent, calling him a lefty is like calling Hugo Chavez a Republican.
