I can hear cries of conspiracy from the right on this one. What happened to the other 53%? Certainly they believe the likes of Al Gore, the Clintons, Howard Dean or even Russ Feingold should have made that list. Or how about John Kerry or Max Cleland? Why didn't the American people choose these liberals, leftists, Democrats and traitors as the top villains? Over 50 million people voted for Bush, what happened since?

I bet the psychic Pat Robertson would have something to say about that! Wait, didn't George say he was a uniter? I noticed that it's from an AP-AOL poll. Well I guess the internet is ruled by us lefty fascists pinkos anyway. Looks like the internet will be the next front in the war on terror.
You know it. Watch out when they attempt to divide the web into two or three tiers of access. They will create internet tollways separating blog sites like this from commercial sites by terminating link functionality. We've already got two americas, two internets are just around the corner.
I found this post to be extremely hypocritical. You are always accusing the local papers of being more favorable to the right and not presenting both sides of an issue. Yet in this post, you fail to mention that Bush also topped the list of being one of the heros of 2006. Please at least practice what you preach.
Bush Voted Top Villain and Hero of 2006
By DARLENE SUPERVILLE, AP
WASHINGTON (Dec. 28) - Bad guy of 2006: President Bush. Good guy of 2006: President Bush. When people were asked in an AP-AOL News poll to name the villains and heroes of the year, Bush topped both lists, in a sign of these polarized times.
Guess they didn't ask the ex-residents of New Orleans if he's a hero. From your quoted article:
"Bush won the villain sweepstakes by a landslide, with one in four respondents putting him at the top of that bad-guy list. When people were asked to name the candidate for villain that first came to mind, Bush far outdistanced even Osama bin Laden, the terrorist leader in hiding; and former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein, who is scheduled for execution.
The president was picked as hero of the year by a much smaller margin. In the poll, 13 percent named him as their favorite while 6 percent cited the troops in Iraq."
And this little bit at the end...
"Bush was the choice of 43 percent of Democrats for villain, and 27 percent of Republicans for hero.
So I'd say Louis is not being "extremely hypocritical", you are.
If Bush had been chosen by more than 25% as a hero, you're right on one hand, I probably would not have pasted the results on this page. However, I never intend to show BOTH sides as we should expect and demand from the mainstream media, but if that day ever comes, I won't have much of anything to write about, BECAUSE they will be presenting my side too. Gee, that was fun.
To 11:59 PM - thank you.
Wow a poll from the left leaning MSNBC come on. MSNBC hate the President. Was Chris Matthews in charge of polling people? Why is the left so in love with polls?
Actually it's an AP-AOL poll not MSNBC. I agree polls are not the best way to gauge the people considering they only ask 1000 or so people. But they are an indicator. A better way to gauge people is the elections. Take the mid-term elction we just had in November. You can't deny Bush was basically handed his hat. Righties love polls just as much as lefties and they DO pay attention to them.
Better yet the associated press is in love with democrats. They were having orgasims when it was told that the democtats won the house and senate. Time will tell if the voters did the right thing by letting the demorats control both houses.
All the press was having orgasms because they knew the next 2 years would be a feast on the Bush administration. The last 12 years showed us what the current crop Republicans do when they control both, voters should count themselves lucky to get a chance to try something different.
Time will tell.
hahahhahah hehehehehhe Is this actually a serious posting!?! too funny!
