Bush Containment of Iraq

I found this drawing on the web a week ago and wondered what was on the other side of the door.

Picked up this one today.

Bush Logic: Terrorists will follow our troops IF we bring our soldiers home.

The fact is, no strategy will work. I have never met a terrorist situation that they weren't mad about. Obama believes in hope and silver linings. Did you notice how all of them started ramping up tests and experiments? No matter HOW you detain someone who hates, they will demand their release until it happens. Einstein once said, the definition of insanity is repeating something over and over, expecting a different result. We have already tried, in my lifetime, negotiating, gifting, trading, detaining, attacking... You simply cannot "hope" they will stop it if we do. Fundamentally, we are scum of the Earth and they will not be satisfied until our scourge is removed from this Earth. If you think any differently... Well, I'm pretty sure you'l be one of the first to go. I've been in too many wars to know what TRUE hate is... This is it and there is NO appeasing it. I pray to God you all understand that some day. I wish you could now before it's too late. The Irony to your Bush Logic up there... They didn't follow ANYONE into those towers or the pentagon did they? Oops, I guess you forgot about your own countrymen who were doing nothing that day but conducting business as usual. Terrorism is terrorism. Until you piss blood for two months because of the shockwave alone, you'l never get it...

I'll agree with your first sentence. Hate to the point of hot or cold blooded murder is an unreasonable proposition from the beginning. But I believe you have Obama pegged wrong with the "hope" perspective, and so do those who think he'll blink if America is attacked.

Yet that was part of my point to the cartoon graphics of this post, terrorists won't follow anyone back home here or telegraph their plans - if they did - it wouldn't be effective enough to be terrorism. It was Bush and Cheney who claimed we cannot bring the troops home because the terrorists would follow them back.

Almost eight years have passed and still few of us know the history or the power driving certain human beings to kill others and themselves along with it. Maybe we don't care what the real story is or want to believe what the truth is. I'm not saying that in sympathy or concession to terrorists, but we will have to know where they're coming from before we can defeat them. Killing them isn't enough.
