Terrorists Emboldened By Stupidity

JG Sound off excerpt:
Saturday’s article on 3A tells about increased violence in Iraq. As predicted, putting democrats in control has emboldened the terrorists and is beginning to look like our soldiers died in vain as they did in VietNam when we didn’t have any backbone. Sorry day. -- anonymous

Interesting. When violence in Iraq would spike up, Bush would make some announcement soon afterward that the heightened violence performed by terrorist groups operating in Iraq depict the actions of a desperate and frustrated enemy losing ground. Other times Bush would imply that the escalating violence and deaths are the necessary results of a successful military fully engaged in combat. Cheney also would write off these ultra-violent episodes as “the last throes” of a vicious enemy. Which is it?

You will probably hear more positive news reports coming out of Iraq come January. If we do succeed in Iraq you know dam well the demorats will take full credit for it.

When things are this bad, its safe to say that at some point, things should eventually get better in Iraq. Even the law of averages is now on our side - what goes down eventually will come up. That doesn't rule out though that things could get even worse. But if we succeed somehow or win the war, civil or not, just who will surrender to us?

Isn't that something? Our president involves us in a hellish Old Testament feud that in all practical and traditional terms of warfare - CANNOT BE WON! Many of us had known this all along but it doesn't become official until the likes of Bill Frist, James Baker or Kissinger say so. Bush will take everyones advice and stay the course and lose later anyways.

The Iraq Study Group is useless. Why bother giving this guy any ideas, he's not going to use them anyway. Cowboy George has shown time and again that he's going to do it his way. It's good in theory, makes it look like your interested in what other people (who actually know what their doing) have to say. He just keeps piling on more and more BS. It's going to take decades if not longer to fix the damage this guy has caused in this country let alone the world.

I still can't believe people voted him in a second time. What did they think was going to happen? He should be impeached and jailed at Gitmo. Worst President ever. I feel really bad for whoever has to be Pres after this. How do you possibly begin? If it was me I'd give him up to the Hague.

Right on!! The next president whoever that is will probably be go down in history as the "damage control" president. I'm another one who was shocked when he was re-elected. His supporters think Bush bashers are full of hatred? That paled compared to the pure and raw hatred they have for Kerry and his wife. Anybody would have been better than Bush!

Typical the democrats are already blaming President Bush for future failures on the next President. They did the same thing to Reagan. How about new talking points for the democrats?

Seems to me that the democrats before 1994 had control for 40 years. What did they preach? Better and affordable healthcare. Well they had 40 years to do something about it and lone behold it's what they still are preaching about it.

Fact is, we are a country of procrastinators. Nothing gets done until it has to. It's not a problem until it slaps us in the face. It doesn't matter who the next Pres is, Dem or Repub, they are going to have an extremely difficult time with what King George has done to the world. The 40 years crap holds no weight with me. It takes both sides to get things done. You talk about new talking points, try it yourself with your 40 years bs. This group has done more damage in less time. I am for a cleaning out of government. There needs to be term limits in every level of government. Career politicians are a major problem. Piggy-backing things into bills and laws needs to be stopped. They need to work more than 3 months a year. No more golden parachutes, they get the same as us all. They are not special, as much as they think they are, they are just people like the rest of us. Let them live like the rest of us, then see what gets done.

DREAM ON IT AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN.

Why doesn't anybody suggest that we actually WIN the war on terrorism and then get our troops out.

Anonymous said...

I'm all for winning the war on terrorism but this is obviously not the way to do it.

Liberals want us to loose the war. They feel we should talk to the terrorists and work things out. Stupid liberals.

Anonymous said...

That is just a "stupid" comment. No one goes to war wanting to lose. It's the manner in which the war is conducted that loses it. The strategies utilized in this war are what is losing it. It's impossible to talk to true terrorists. Their ideologies prevent them from believing anything other than their total domination and that their beliefs are the only ones that are right. There are more than just terrorists at play in Iraq. Centuries old divisions (religious in nature) and a party (the Baathists) that doesn't want to give up power are what is driving the largest problems in Iraq right now.

Why didn't Bush think of the centuries old divisions and the Baathists before he decided to invade? Now, the Saudi's are thinking of supporting(money) the Sunni's against the Shia's. What a (bleeping)mess. And Iran? Sadly, the only guy who was able to keep this under control with fewer murders is now sitting in jail.

How do we get out without losing?

The liberals DO want us to loose the war. Just another reason to blame it on Bush. He would have been wrong in not invading Iraq with the intelligence that he was handed. Saddam had 12 years to comply with the UN resolution. Everyone knew he was a threat.

I think liberals go into a game of any kind thinking they can't win. That liberal mentality is not the kind of mentality you have to have when going into a war. I thinks that's why most liberals got their asses kicked in elementry school. Just a bunch of pussies.

Former President Ford says Iraq war a mistake. Why do Republicans what us to lose? Gerald Ford, what a wimp!

Anonymous said...

Yeah it sure is easy playing minday morning quarterback. Un fortunatly the sitting President doesn't have that luxury. I bet he also thought that bombing an asprin factory was a mistake to. I'm sure he didn't think that lying under oath was a good thing either. He probably didn't approve of driving a car into a river and leaving a young girl to die was very smart to do either.

Teddy K was not and never will be a President, so you can't throw him in the mix. Like no Republican President ever lied or did anything wrong? Gimme a break. I live for the politician that will for once admit he was wrong or take responsibility for anything they do. That goes for both sides of the isle! You righties are just as bad as the lefties. Everybody blames everybody else and you know what?.....they all suck. They are all so full of themselves and so beholden to their lobbiest and political buddies they are screwed the moment the get voted in. If you believe they are working for you, you are seriously delusional. They are career politicians that are working for themselves and their position. The vast majority of people don't even know or care who represents them. As long as they don't embarass anyone, commit a crime(which doesn't really matter anymore either, see the coke snorting President, the pedophile senator or countless others on both sides), and play along by their rules the chances that they get re-elected are pretty good. You should all step back and actually see the people (I use this term really loosely) you are arguing over.

To the 8:40 anon, your the kind of person that teaches their kids to be bullies aren't you? And people wonder why there are school shootings and violence in the schools. Look no further than the parents.

Good show 8:40. Unfortunately, we are left with what we think are the lesser of two evils. Most politicians are a sham, the ones that are half-genuine are labeled as mavericks, oddities or worse yet populists.

Today the mainstream media reported that Bush was at his ranch honing a new Iraqi direction for victory. LOL The only this guy is sharpening is his ax to cut more brush away at his ranch.

I agree most politicans (career politicans) are crooks and will say,do anything that you want to hear to get elected. You have to choose what you agree with on either party or another party. The problem is that most people don't give a shit about whose running this country and that's what is wrong with American's we need to be more involved with how this country is run. Iraqi's went to the polls in record numbers and at anytime could have been blown up. We as American's can't even get to the polls even when some employers give us the day off to go and vote which takes only a few minutes of your valuble time.

I agree all Americans need to be way more involved, too bad our Government doesn't see it that way. They have beaten people into an apathetic stupdor.
