Bush Decisions Fuel Terrorism

There’s something about Bill, that riles Bush supporters and the right-wing editors of the Janesville Messenger into a whining poisonous frenzy. Whether they think he’s lying or telling the truth, they can’t stand the idea that they know he knows.

Similar to the wonderful enthusiastic exuberance of the fist-pumping arm-waving Howard Dean, Bill Clinton crossed a line as far as the neo-cons are concerned. Oh my God they thought, look at that display of obscene emotion. Any former president with that much political hubris as to admit to making mistakes must be a danger to the infallible idiocy sitting in the White House today, they figure.

Bill would not let the monkey-smirking Chris Wallace push him around with questions meant for the current sitting president. The loaded interview was carried out by the same people who have condensed the Clinton Administration’s seven year hunt for Bin Laden into a three hour fictional movie. Had they done the same to Bush, the compression and fiction would be unnecessary, a simple video camera could capture Bush being handed the “bin Laden ready to strike U.S.” note with Bush saying “o.k. you covered your ass.” A 20 second video would have been a generous recording of Bush’s involvement against terror before 9/11. It hasn’t changed much since.
JM Excerpt:
The fact is, Clinton chose to address the al-Quada threat as a law enforcement problem………Throughout the nineties al-Quada grew stronger.

Yes, in fact more terror plots have been thwarted by law enforcement than by any other means, at least five documented terror plots have been shut down outside of Iraq. Meanwhile no one can say if our military in Iraq stopped any terror plots threatening the U.S. But we do know this, over 2,800 soldiers have been killed because of Bush’s decision to take the offensive against an innocent country. Bush supporters would have you ignore this in favor of a specious version that has Bush hunting down terrorists as diligently as he pursued, say, taxcuts for the rich or his drive to destroy Social Security.

There is nothing we can do today about al-Quada’s growth in the nineties. However, in an attempt to find out why, I would be more concerned about the terrorists expansion in the 80’s where the original ideas sprouted and culminated into the first attack on the WTC.

Now, 16 different intelligence agencies have gone on record saying the Bush Iraq invasion has fueled more terrorists and more hatred. The thing is, this report wasn’t issued ten years ago when we can’t do anything about it now, its about reality right now when we can still do something about it by changing the direction. Bush says those who want to change his direction want to "cut and run." What better way to engage in meaningful dialogue with concerned Americans than to insinuate they are cowards. They weren't kidding when someone said Bush doesn't play well with others. Obviously, Bush’s way is a complete and utter failure, but people are crazy about this, they like what they see.

But the neo-cons will say nonsense, Clintons affair in the 90’s with an intern far outweighs our concern’s for the issues in the 2000’s. Ten years from now, complaining about Bush’s failures will be the useless rants of fools who refused to stand up against the incompetence now. But they will swear its not their fault.
