JS excerpt:
In a raucous exchange involving colorful language, the Republican candidates for state attorney general clashed repeatedly Thursday. At one point, candidate J.B. Van Hollen pointedly told opponent Waukesha County District Attorney Paul Bucher "you suck" during a break in a debate.
"I don't suck. I resent that," he said, telling Van Hollen: "If we're going to denigrate into that, you go first." "He's got a leadership style that sucks," Van Hollen said on the air.
A few hours later, Van Hollen issued an apology, saying he had "lowered myself" to Bucher's level.
In fall 2002, the state Republican Party asked Van Hollen to investigate whether Doyle supporters had tried to buy votes from people with mental illnesses using kringles and quarters at a Kenosha bingo party. A special prosecutor later determined no laws had been broken.
This is just too much.

I guess driving a state vehicle under the influence of alcohol isn't as bad as calling someone names.
I can't compare the two events but you can. Either way, these guys were not drunk, but you would never know it.
It's to bad that they had to do this, They had this election wound up easy. The democrats have very poor canidates for the attorney general position. Falk has absolutley no experiance in law enforcement. These two left the door wide open for the democrats and it's to bad.
I agree the canidates really messed up. They called names they stupped to the level of Howard Dean and the democratic party's tactic's.
