Republican candidate Mark Green today released internet only campaign ads and made some rather naïve promises. Among them are:
* Capping state revenues at the previous years levels. What about inflation?
* Using surpluses for deficit or tax reduction only – Republican surpluses?
* Never use veto power to change budget or taxes – Never say never
* Outlaw deficits greater than $2 billion – This is a hoot! Sounds like Bush
The best statement by far is that if elected, he will lower the tax burden or not run again. This guy is pretty green, no pun intended. Spare us the broken promises, please.
